Headache & Migraine Care

Headaches and migraines are common neurological conditions that cause pain in the head or face and can significantly affect daily life. Headaches vary in type, intensity, and frequency, while migraines are a specific type of headache disorder often characterized by throbbing pain, usually on one side of the head, and sensitivity to light, sound, or movement.

Migraines may also be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and visual disturbances, and can last from several hours to several days. Both headaches and migraines can range from mild to severe and may require individualized treatment approaches to effectively manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

Treatments Available:

SPG (Sphenopalatine Ganglion) Block:
A minimally invasive procedure that delivers anesthetic medication to the sphenopalatine ganglion, a group of nerves linked to headache and facial pain. It is commonly used to treat migraines, cluster headaches, and certain facial pain conditions, providing rapid pain relief for many patients.

Occipital Nerve Block:
This treatment involves injecting a local anesthetic, sometimes combined with a steroid, around the occipital nerves at the back of the head. It is often used for migraines, tension headaches, and occipital neuralgia, helping reduce pain, inflammation, and headache frequency.

Trigger Point Injections:
Trigger point injections commonly involve injections of local anesthetic with or without corticosteroid, botulinum toxin, or without any injection substance (dry needling).
